Peer Leadership Consultants (PLC’s) are a diverse group of students who serve as ambassadors for the Student Involvement and Leadership Center (SILC). PLCs provide assistance to all KU student organizations and communities by providing services, programs, and resources necessary for positive leadership growth and development of KU student organizations and other on-campus student groups. As ambassadors of SILC, PLCs can be found assisting individual students in getting connected and involved in student organizations and leadership opportunities. Our PLCs also assist with tabling opportunities in order to connect directly with future and new Jayhawks as they explore a variety of involvement opportunities. PLCs will also be coordinating the 2017 Blueprints Leadership Conference to be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017.

Being able to help other students grow in themselves and on campus is a rewarding venture. I have also enjoyed creating Success Solutions, Inc. because it has been a unique business and program to help students define leadership in themselves, at work, and in the school! Every opportunity to lead is another opportunity to succeed here at KU!

Hey there! My name is Liam Ormiston and I'm a sophomore studying Computer Science with a minor in Communication Studies. During my freshman year, I got involved with the KU Rock Climbing Club and the Association for Computing Machinery. With this balance of an academic club and a non academic club, I was immersed in new experiences while making important connections with upperclassmen in my major. Over the summer I was an Orientation Assistant and now I am currently a Resident Assistant for Templin Hall!
