Marsha serves as the Director of the Student Involvement and Leadership Center. She joined the SILC staff in the fall of 2014 as the Assistant Director focusing on Leadership Education and Development.  Prior to KU, she worked at Washburn University as the Assistant Director and Director of Student Activities & Greek Life, as the Associate Director of the Leadership Institute, and as an adjunct faculty member in the Leadership Studies minor.  Marsha began her career at DePaul University as the program coordinator for Greek Life.  Originally from La Paz, Bolivia, Marsha was raised in Texas.  She earned her Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance from Texas State University after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio.  Marsha is currently completing her PhD in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas and has completed her graduate certificate in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies.  In her free time, Marsha serves as a board member of the Sexual Trauma and Abuse Care Center and runs to keep up with her partner and two young children.
