The Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity (SGD) is a clearinghouse of information regarding issues affecting the gender and/or sexuality minority community (LGBTQIA+) — as well as our straight friends, family members and allies. The Center is also a physical lounge space for our LGBTQIA+ students to feel safe and respected on the KU campus! The Center is open for students to study, hang out or connect to our smart TV for group projects, presentations or just to unwind and watch movies.

The Center's resources include:

  • Information about organizations and support services on campus, in Lawrence, throughout the region, and nationally
  • Information about news and upcoming events
  • SGD sensitivity training
  • Academic-related resources, events, and programming

The Center is open to all students, faculty, and staff at the University of Kansas.

The Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity is located:

Kansas Union, Room 420 (inside the SILC suite)
