The LeaderShape Institute

KU will hold its 20th LeaderShape Institute on January 10-15, 2017.  Apply here.

Lead With Integrity. Do Something Extraordinary.

LeaderShape is a highly interactive and energizing six-day, five-night leadership enhancement program based in an environment ideal for individuals to experience teamwork, practice ethical decision making, deal with change and chaos, clarify personal values and celebrate and explore the values of others. LeaderShape believes in living in possibility, making a commitment to a vision, developing relationships to bring the vision into reality and sustaining a high level of integrity. Effective leadership takes place in the context of a supportive community and involves action that results in positive change.

All participants leave the Institute with a "LeaderShape Vision Project" — a well-conceived vision and action plan for participants to implement within their own organization, living group, community, or workplace. The Institute is structured so that participants first gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their own strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to become more effective leaders in their organizations.

Participant Information:

Participants spend the week at Tall Oaks Conference Center, meeting other KU students, creating lifelong bonds, and establishing themselves as a leader in creating change and fostering development. The program runs each day from approximately 8:00 am to 10:00 pm each day. All participants are required to stay overnight at the campsite for the entirety of the program.  Participants are placed in small groups, called "family clusters," which allows for close relationships to form. The week is alcohol and substance free, and participants are expected to be at Tall Oaks the entire time. Dress is casual, and all meals, lodging, and materials are taken care of with the participation cost!

The cost to participate is $50.00 (There are a limited number of scholarships available to cover the registration cost. Information will be available once participants are selected.)
