Student Parent Resources

Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity
The Emily Taylor Center (ETC) is located in Suite 1040 of the Burge Union and contributes to a welcoming, inclusive campus climate for people of all gender identities and works to provide a safer space for marginalized people. They welcome people of all identities and abilities — who appreciate difference, practice inclusion, and support our commitment to equity — to share their space. Student parents are encouraged to use the resources provided by the ETC, as well as get involved with the Feminist Parenting group and Hawks with Hawklets.
Hilltop Child Development Center
The Hilltop Child Development Center's primary mission is to provide convenient, high-quality care and education for the children of University of Kansas and Lawrence families, with a goal of helping student parents complete their KU education successfully. Hilltop offers student-friendly services: sliding fee schedule, scholarship fee subsidies, priority to student families on the waiting list, and optional care for periods when KU classes are not in session.
