Em Smith

Em (they/them) serves as the Graduate Assistant for Student Engagement in the Student Involvement and Leadership Center. In this role, Em composes and distributes the Rock Chalk Central newsletter, manages SILC social media platforms, oversees SILC Peer Outreach Team (SPOT) tabling efforts, and provides guidance to student organizations through organization consultations and workshops, while also playing an active role in SILC's leadership programming efforts. Em completed their Bachelor’s of Science in Socio-Communication with a minor in Public Administration at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. They are currently pursuing their M.Ed. in the KU Higher Education program.
